Facilitation Skills workshop in Toronto
Effective meetings don't just happen, they are the result of a team leader who uses the appropriate skills and methods to help team members work together to effectively reach goals. Unlike traditional presentation and training styles, facilitation is participatory and learner-centered where peers and team members are recognized and valued as the primary resource for accomplishing goals. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Create a productive setting to facilitate meetings and/or training sessions
  • Use techniques to deal with problematic people and situations
  • Stay on track by focusing on outcomes, not content
  • Utilize the strengths and knowledge of participants to problem solve
What will our workshop cover?
This one-day workshop will introduce you to a full arsenal of tested facilitation, team problem-solving and communications techniques including:
  • Numerous process techniques and tools
  • Writing clear objectives
  • Managing the agenda
  • Issuing effective minutes
  • Reading the group
  • Verbal and nonverbal techniques
  • Communications theory, group dynamics
  • Handling issues
  • Dealing with difficult participants.
You will have an opportunity to try out and apply many of the techniques and tools that are reviewed.
